In a Korean site of samsung,the company announced that two of their popular devices,Galaxy S and 7inch Galaxy tab won’t be able to upgrade to the android’s latest version Ice cream Sandwich.The reason for this is that both the devices have a lot of customizations  in it.They use samsung’s UI like Touchwiz,and other widgets.And if upgraded to the latest version 4.0 these features will get stuck up.
This made a great disappointment for the owners of these products since every one where waiting for this big upgrade.

    Does this affect the Samsung Galaxy S II as well? Would like to know as I cannot seem to get much info.

    Jermaine, the SII is ICS ready. The original S can actually be made to run ICS too, but I think it’s more a case that Samsung would prefer not to have the device running it for commercial reasons. The S is still a very powerful bit of kit!
