2013 Honda Fit [Jazz] EV –World’s most fuel efficient electric car with a mileage more of 50.16 kmpl
The title of the most fuel efficient electric car in the world is now with 2013 Honda Fit EV. In terms of MPGe (Miles per Gallon) its fuel efficiency is 118 MPGe which is equivalent to 50.16 kmpl in Indian terms. It is a hatchback vehicle. A 20 KWh Lithium Ion battery pack is used in this car. This will be Honda’s second electric car. The first electric car from Honda was Honda EV Plus which was launched 15 years back.
Honda Fit [Jazz] EV’s electric motor can generate a peak power of 123bhp at a maximum torque of 261Nm. There will be 3 drive modes available to the user. They are Sport, Normal and Econ (economy) modes. The sport mode provides the maximum electric motor output. The charging time of the Lithium Ion battery is less than 3 hours. The battery is placed below the car floor. The charger is available on board so that the battery can be easily charged by connecting it with an external 120/240 V power supply.
Honda Fit [Jazz] EV has got stylish and elegant exterior looks. The interior is bit small. The seats are made of bio-fabric material. The driving range is around 131 kms. The battery status is displayed on the dashboard itself. Honda has given severe importance to the aerodynamic part of Honda Fit [Jazz] EV. In terms of fuel economy Mitsubishi i-MEV with 112MPG and Ford focus EV with 108MPG follows this vehicle. 2013 Honda Fit [Jazz] will reach the auto world car showrooms only by the end of 2012.
