Honda Dream Yuga launched in India
Honda Motorcycles in collaboration with Scooter India launched the all new Dream Yuga in the auto world. Honda Dream Yuga is an 110cc motorcycle. It has a single cylinder, air cooled 4 stroke engine with a peak power of 8.5bhp at 7500 rpm. Its maximum torque is 8.91 Nm. The gear shift is only 4-speed. Fuel economy is the major highlight that the Honda officials are claiming about Dream Yuga. It has got a mileage of 72kmpl.
Hero Splendor, Hero Passion Pro, Suzuki Hayate and Bajaj Discover 100 are the main competitors of Dream Yuga in India’s auto world. This motorcycle is primarily for the mass market in India. It looks very similar to Honda Shine. Dream Yuga was first introduced during the Delhi Auto Expo in January. It will be available in 5 different colours- Force Silver Metallic, Maple Brown Metallic, Monsoon Grey Metallic, Alpha red Metallic and Black. There are no disk brakes for any of the Dream Yuga variants.
Dream Yuga has got 3 variants – base model, mid variant and the top end model. The base model is available with the kick start feature and without alloy wheels. It will cost around Rs.48,000. The middle variant with a pricing of Rs.49,600 has got alloy wheels, but has no electric start feature. The premium model has got electric start as well as alloy wheels. It will cost nearly Rs.51,700.
The Delhi ex-showroom price of Dream Yuga is Rs.44,700 and the Mumbai ex-showroom price is Rs.48,000. Honda is trying to establish a firm hold in the Indian Motorcycle market. Recently Honda made a deal of 50 crores with Akshay Kumar for 5 years to make him as their ambassador. Dream Yuga is manufactured at Honda’s Manesar plant.
