Volkswagen Jetta Petrol launched in India for 13.6 lakhs
Volkswagen India launched the all new Jetta petrol at a price tag of 13.6 lakhs in Indian auto world market. It has got a 1.4 litre TSI petrol engine which generates a peak power of 120bhp at 5000rpm. The gear shift is 6-speed manual. Automatic transmission model is not announced. The maximum torque is around 200Nm. Direct fuel injection technology is used in its TSI engine.
Fuel economy is a major feature of the petrol model. Volkswagen Jetta Petrol will be available in two variants named as Trendline and Comfortline. The Comfortline model will cost around 15.1 lakhs. It has got 16-inch alloywheels. ABS with brake assist is another main highlight. The center armrest has got storage space too. Automatic climate control is present.
The interior is finished with Leatherette seat upholstery. AC vents are provided at the back side also. Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) is a major technology used in this Jetta as a safety feature. The side mirrors are provided with indicators. There are fog lamps at the rear end. The steering wheel , gear knob and hand brake grip are coated with leather.
It will be available in a total of 6 colour shades. 0 t0 100km will be available in 10.98 seconds. The top end Comfortline variant has a total of 6 airbags. The main rival of Jetta petrol is Skoda Laura. But it is much more powerful then Jetta petrol model. The bookings are now started and will be available in Indian auto world car showrooms from the month of July.
